Abstrak

This article aims to find out the profile of the Prophet as education and development in Islamic educational institutions. Islamic education in the city of Makkah is the education of tawhid, the heavy point is to instill the values of tawhid into the soul of every individual Muslim, so that their souls are radiated by the rays of tawhid and reflected in deeds and behaviors in everyday life. In the period of islamic education in Makkah, the Prophet Muhammad also taught the Qur'an because the Qur'an is the essence and main source of Islamic teachings. In addition, The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also taught tawhid to his people. In essence, the education and teaching given by the Prophet while in Makkah is religious and moral education and encourages humans to use their minds in paying attention to the events of humans, animals, plants and the universe as a recommendation of 'akliyah and ilmiyaheducation. While the main point of Islamic education development in the city of Medina can be said to be social and political education. Which is a continuation of tawhid education in Makkah, which is the construction in the field of social and political education to be imbued by islamic teachings, and is a reflection of the rays of tawhid. The prophet's way of building and teaching Islamic religious education in Medina was by forming and building a new society towards a social and political unity
